SIMON MALLORY
Simon is an extremely versatile and experienced actor with a career spanning over 15 years.
More known for his work as a Series Regular in "COMEDY INC –THE LATE SHIFT" on Channel 9, Seasons 4 & 5, some may even remember him as the notorious photographer - Chris Cousens in "NEIGHBOURS" on Channel 10 many years ago.
Lately he was part of the long running commercial for NAB with the "Sage Advice" campaign that almost reached cult status with the tag line "ships are safe in the harbour, but that's not what ships are built for".
He has continued to delight audiences over the last few years with his reprising role of Sargent Roberts in the award winning ABC series "THE NOWHERE BOYS".
Simon has also had numerous Guest roles in shows like "UTOPIA"- ABC Series 2, "WANTED "-Ch 7, "MR&MRS MURDER" –Ch10, "UNDERBELLY “Squizzy” Ch 9, "OFFSPRING"- Ch 10, "THE PACIFIC" –Ch9, "RUSH" -Ch 10, "SAVED"- SBS and "LAST MAN STANDING"-Ch7.
A sort after Actor in many short films, he yearned for a break in the long form which eventually came his way as the lead role of "Steve Austin" in the feature film THE HECKLER (2015). Not only did it recieve national acclaim throughout it's Australian cinema release, it also picked up international recognition by claiming "Best Ensemble" at the LA Comedy Fest. in Los Angeles.
With his never ending love of live theatre, he has been diligent in continuing his involvement in this medium. For many years he was involved with the Australian Shakespeare Company. Most recently as “Bottom” in MIDSUMMER NIGHTS DREAM. "Antipholus of Ephesus" in COMEDY OF ERRORS, "Tranio" in "THE TAMING OF THE SHREW". He was also delighted to be the lead role of "Gary" in the first showing of Patricia Cornelius's "THE CALL” with Melbourne Workers Theatre/Full Tilt at the Arts Centre. Other notable performances were in “RED DUST DIVA” with Bay St Productions at Chapel of Chapel and “ACT ONE” at La Mama (2004).
Simon also spent many years cutting his teeth in children's theatre with Nickelodeon Australia and Knockabout Theatre.
Taking his skills to the next level with Nickelodeon Australia, he has found himself writing and directing numerous shows for their live entertainment department. The latest of which had him directing the hugely popular Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles show at SeaWorld Australia on the Gold Coast
